Artist's Description

A tiny aquatic snail attached itself to the underside of this purple waterlily bloom when it was open during the day, and as the flower closed for the evening the petals brought the snail up and out of the water. Taken in my tiny backyard pond (and yes, the snail eventually moved back into the water).
